Construction/Coverage Filings: Beginning January 1, 2006, the FCC began the "Automatic Termination"

process of terminating any unconstructed frequency issued to an FCC license. The FCC began the construction/coverage filing requirement in 2001 for all radio services. Many frequencies issued in 2002 and prior to February 1, 2006 may not be in compliance because of failure to construct, but the license has not been placed in "Auto Term" status. If you did not file the construction/coverage filing during this period, a late construction filing is required before any changes including renewal can be done to your license.
