Renewal Application for an Existing FCC License
Business Radio Licensing will submit a renewal filing to the FCC on behalf of the licensee for the radio services listed below. Application request must be submitted to and received by Business Radio Licensing 30 working days prior to the expiration or deadline date of any current application. A timely filing will be submitted when completed application and payment of all fees have been received.
The cost of renewing an FCC license varies for each Radio Service. The cost range is $65.00 - $685.00 and is identified below. Find your radio service and request application. Business Radio Licensing rates have decreased effective January 15,2013.
*Government entities are exempt from FCC filing fee, only the processing fees for Business Radio Licensing services will be charged.
** Fleet licenses, multiply number of stations in the Fleet by the FCC filing fee.
Renewal Application
The FCC will grant to a licensee an additional license term at the conclusion of the current license term. To obtain a renewal, licensees must file a renewal application between 90 days prior to the license expiration date, and the expiration date. A 30-day grace period is provided and requires a late waiver filing.
Late Waiver Renewal Application
The FCC will accept a late waiver renewal application within the 30-day grace period when renewal application is accompanied with a late waiver request and additional late waiver filing fees. (Example: IG late waiver renewal filing, non-government - $505.00) Government entities are exempt from late waiver FCC filing fees, additional late waiver processing fees will be charged. Business Radio Licensing must receive a late waiver request 10 working days prior to the end of the 30-day period.
